ok, i now have nothing to hold me back (well, that's a lie). but really, nothing. i read over my last journal and realized half of those issues are now in the past.

somethings i realized; deadlines don't help me. i just have to doodle all the time. and i have to post doodles to to see what people think of them. i've taken to passing about my sketchbook willy-nilly. it's interesting to see what people have to say. i also have one too many friends who want art from me. so maybe i should stop beating around the bush and do it.

i have a friend who wants me to design a tattoo for her of a tree and chaos. lots of meaningful elements are in that image and her birthday is coming up! o_O

i have some wow friend who i said i'd draw their characters, but i've slacked because i haven't played wow in ages. thank all that's holy.

i have two friends who want me to paint at their houses. i'm working over at one friend's house on his bed post. another friend wants a forest on his wall. i don't really like paint. >_>

i have another friend who wants paintings to sell at an auction to benefit kenyans. um. again, i don't like paint, but i think everyone should try to help out africa. so i'll need to get on that.

and i still have even more little designs and things to send out to people, as well as to work on my own. but i spoke with a guy who witnessed my art apathy. he said that he hopes my cork will release and the art will just flow. well, it does flow, but it needs a purpose or direction.
so you'll start seeing my sketchbook plop out here, because so far it's all i have. in fact, when i get to work i'm going to sit at the desk and just scan things in and load them up. ^_^ best use of my time.
because i find it hard to work on things without other artists giving critiques and encouragment. and too many of my friends are musicians.


edit: i love technology... i usually sketch in a non-photo blue pen. and i totally forgot that things like scanners don't really pick up on that color. so i need to ink all of my work, or draw it in regular pencil to post it up here. /sigh maybe i just need to get a good tablet, i bought a cheap one a while ago, and it doesn't work right anymore. might be time to invest in an intuos3.
