ok, i now have nothing to hold me back (well, that's a lie).  but really, nothing.  i read over my last journal and realized half of those issues are now in the past. somethings i realized; deadlines don't help me.  i just have to doodle all the time.  and i have to post doodles to to see what people think of them.  i've taken to passing about my sketchbook willy-nilly.  it's interesting to see what people have to say.  i also have one too many friends who want art from me.  so maybe i should stop beating around the bush and do it. i have a friend who wants me to design a tattoo for her of a tree and chaos.  lots of meaningful elements are

ugh, i sometimes fear i fill my plate up a bit too much. right now i'm a) looking for a new room-mate, b) trying to learn spanish for a trip to guatemala --let alone b.1) trying to prepare all i need for said trip--, c) still working on painting three paintings, how do you know when a paining is done?, d) sketching out drawings for a show in feb/mar, e) trying to design a webpage --for the first time ever, mind you-- for a friend, and f) trying to clear out old junk. all of this on top of the normal every-day chores, work, and events.  phew. i don't know how all of you* seem to pump out even one painting a week.  granted, i do waste a lot

so, a new year has begun. politically i'm excited.  finally we are getting rid of that horrible excuse for a president which has plagued our nation and the world.  good fucking riddance to that man.  and what's this?  obama one the iowa caucus?  i'm impressed.  i'd love to have obama as our president, and the chance of that happening is ever more likely. enough of that.  i need to come across a scanner.  right now i'm working on sketches for a show in march.  the theme is water, so all these images will have something to do with water.  i'll be doing them in ink, 'cause i think ink looks sexy.  and maybe some watercolor highlights.  we'll s
